Being Less Judgmental

It is very unfortunate that we all reside in a society that is highly judgmental of ourselves and others. I wish it could change dramatically, but alas, it is a fact of life.

Here are some facets about being judgmental that we do on a frequent basis, however, we hardly stop to think or ponder about rather closely:

Folks rarely complain or sulk when we say, do or write something, or about someone, that is very positive or earn us "kudos" in wide quarters, but yet, we have made a judgment about that person or thing, albeit; it is a positive one, nonetheless, still a judgment. Of course, we typically know the obvious results of being critical, even if it is intended to be constructive criticism.

Of course, many folks strongly advocate that there is no "true" or "right" way to practice or engage in kink between consenting adults, until many of the same advocates tell a kinky couple or individual that they are doing it WRONG! You cannot have it both ways, folks! The double standard is absolutely mind-blowing!

I think that the bottom line of this post is the fact that, in my view, being totally non-judgmental or having a "judgment-free" environment, is somewhat of a misnomer, as the best we as humanity can realistically achieve, is to be "less judgmental".

I feel if we all strive for that particular goal, we would be in a much better disposition, overall.
