Inherent Mindset, Genetics, DNA?

Is it possible that the traits that make those of us Dominant or submissive are passed down from parents and grandparents?
Is what makes me Dominant something that was in my DNA before I knew what I even liked?
If I had a son, would he then turn out to be a Dominant male as well?
I think it is a little trickier when talking about submission.
While it is a bit difficult to see with the naked eye dominance being displayed, it is somewhat easier, at least in my opinion, to see submission.
Could that be passed down as well, or do you emulate what you see?
Please feel free to share your wisdom and thoughts on this.

David Coates There is no doubt that genes have a lot of influence over our personality. How efficiently we respond to adrenaline, for example, is sometimes due to difference in receptors, which are directly translated from our genetic code. But the genetics are only the base. On that base are layered our experiences and influences and the interpretations we have made. It all works together to make us what we are. I suspect that personality is one area in which our upbringing (nurture) plays a much greater role than our genetics (nature).Bottom of Form
