The right?

Is it any more important that the Dominant gives the submissive the right to submit to him or her than the submissive granting the Dominant the right to dominate them?
There are those who believe that, in a real power-exchange relationship, both partners must actually originate from a place of power, and therefore, both partners must have a say in how the relationship is progressing.
Moreover, there are those who feel that the sub holds the power in a relationship tend to be misguided, as neither partner should be able to trump the other.
For instance, there is a prevailing argument that the submissive has a right to stop the scene.
It is believed that the Dominant stops the scene or activity, not just because the submissive said so, but because the Dominant wishes to preserve the relationship established with the submissive.
Likewise, a sub throwing himself or herself at the feet of the Dominant without consent does not necessarily preclude that the Dominant must accept the submission.
Your thoughts and wisdom here?
